Baby Baron is growing....by the day. Today, he is the biggest dog of the pack, and he's only 7 months old!!
One of the favorite toys of the dogs is a rubber ball....but Cito has a knack of tearing it in half in mere minutes. Now that there is a gaping hole in the ball, Jazz and Baron love to stick their head inside and be goofy.
Ahhhh....Kodak moments. (now I just need to get better camera.)
Which breed of dog is your favorite? Post a picture of it.

Well, the German Shepherd, of course. :) I can't think of another dog that I could ever have.....
Just the other day I actually had a slice of heaven....and for me that's rare. I was lying on the couch....Jazz at my feet, Cito's head in my lap and Baron's snout on my shoulder. That's love....Shepherd looooove. I remember my first Shepherd was I was 5 years old....and all the ones I've had after. I can't imagine life without them....a bunch of them running around, tripping me as I walk. :)
These are my kids....my furry, four-legged, kids. I'll never have (anymore) kids, by choice. But I'll always have the pitter patter of 4, 8, or 12 paws running though the house. For me, they're better than kids. They're loyal, always loving, always happy to see you, and give you all the love they have....unconditionally.
The (very) long awaited arrival of the puppy has finally come!!! After the long drive to OR and back....he's here!!! I've decided to change his name, yet again. His new name is Baron....and he is even cuter than I ever imagined!!! He's this big ball of fluff, with huge paws, floppy ears, sharp teeth, and a BIG personality packed into a tiny little body. He was amazing on the car ride back....a four hour drive home and he was calm the entire time. There was a little crying for a few minutes in the very beginning, then he was calm and content. Everyday, he amazes me even more....how confident he is for such a little guy. His first meeting with the dogs....I was nervous. They sniffed every square inch of his furry little body, at least twice, and endlessly circled around him like sharks circling their prey. But he showed no fear and actually stood up for himself. On Sunday, we went to Greenlake, a huge lake/park in the Seattle area. It was a pretty warm day, so we took the dogs to hang out in the shade. Who woulda' thought that 3 German Shepherds would cause so many people to stop and stare?? :) The part that totally caught us offguard.....a guy and his dog came up to us to chat and I was worried since Baron was not on a leash. But....he charged after the guy and his dog while barking angrily! We were in shock!! Then a man and his little daughter came up to see the puppy....he charged at them too while barking. It totally cracked us up to see this little puppy who can barely walk acting all tough!!! He's going to be a handful!!!!! Here's the great Baron in all his glory!!! (the green in his ear is from the Breeder's tattoo)
Here an email from the breeder:
The puppies are doing wonderful! We have been working on our front yard a bit ...... and having seven little helpers is a lot of fun :) They are a great litter - everyone comes quickly to "puppy, puppy, puppy". It is a race to get to me first! They climb three steps easily into the house - and they go back into their area easily when called. They are eating 3 times a day ..... National + raw. The different personalities are emerging more & more everyday. Because of the difference in food drives .... we feed separately now (which takes a lot longer). The boys are Blue, Orange, Green & No Collar. The girls are Red, Yellow & White Collar. Hope everyone has purchased the dog food and that you are getting ready for these guys. They are a very easy litter for me - very awesome/easy to please temperaments. The attached photo of my husband and two of the puppies was taken today! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.....................
So it looks like Hannibal will be coming home sooner than expected.....on the 30th of this month!!! I'm so excited!!
I can't wait to hold him in my arms and see the interaction between the dogs.

Can't wait to see what he'll look like!! He'll be 9 weeks old when I pick him up!!! :)
